The Bespoke Engagement Ring Process
Creating a bespoke engagement ring with Fergus James is simple, personal and completely tailored to you. From choosing the right diamond to approving your final ring design, your dedicated diamond curator will guide you through every step.
The entire process can be completed in person, by Zoom or over WhatsApp.

Tell Us About Your Dream Ring
Start by contacting us through WhatsApp, completing our website enquiry form or using our Upload Your Dream Ring service.
Share your ideas, preferred ring style and budget with us. You can send photographs or screenshots of rings you like, even if you are not yet sure exactly what you want.

Speak With Your Diamond Curator
You can arrange an in-person consultation at our Dubai showroom, speak with us through a Zoom consultation or complete the entire process over WhatsApp.
Your dedicated diamond curator will discuss your preferences, answer your questions and help you find the right diamond for your priorities and budget. They will remain your main point of contact throughout the process, so you can message them for advice or updates at any time.

Confirm Your Diamond and Order
Once you have selected your certified diamond and are ready to proceed, a 20% deposit is required to confirm your order.
Your chosen diamond will then be secured and your diamond curator will begin finalising the design of your ring.

Approve Your CAD Design
We create detailed computer-aided design drawings, known as CAD drawings, so you can review the design of your ring before it is made.
You can request as many changes as you need. We will only begin making your ring once you are completely happy with the design and have given your approval.

Your Ring Is Handcrafted in Dubai
Once the diamond and CAD design have been approved, your engagement ring will be handcrafted in our Dubai workshop.
A bespoke engagement ring normally takes between 10 and 14 days to produce. Production times may vary slightly during particularly busy periods.

See Your Finished Ring
When your ring is ready, your diamond curator will send you a video of the completed piece through WhatsApp
You can then collect your ring from our Dubai showroom or have it delivered securely by DHL Express.
The remaining 80% balance must be paid when you collect your ring or before it is shipped.

After You Receive Your Ring
Every Fergus James purchase includes a lifetime warranty, complimentary ring resizing and professional cleaning services.
Our relationship does not end when you receive your ring. You can contact your diamond curator whenever you need assistance, advice or aftercare.
Important Collection and Payment Information
Once your ring has been completed, it must be collected or paid for in full within four months of the original order-confirmation date, unless another arrangement has been agreed with your diamond curator.
